Prvi Partizan Ammo

I've used their match ammo in .223 and .308, and found that it shoots well. It also reloads well. Their military ammo is not as accurate, but that's to be expected. It still reloads well.

Shoots great in my 6.5x55.Very accurate and has decent brass for reloading. They also sell their bullets and brass as components at very reasonable prices.

I shoot .223 Match and 7x57 sp. Both are extremely accurate, capable of 3-5 shot single hole groups at 100 yards. I don't reload so that isn't a factor for me.

I've used 8x57mm, 303 Brit, 7.5x55mm, 7.62x54R, Also have used Hot Shot ammo in some of those cailibers. For the price it's good performing ammo and good reloadable brass.

Sorry, I just realized I was thinking of Sellier & Bellot when I said it has shallow primer pockets. Prvi brass is good to go.

alemonkey,
I think the prvi brass is a little tight in the primer pocket diameter. I take any brass I can get if it is free & safe.
I got a few hundred federal .308 from a group of local leo snipers. I hear the primer pockets get loose quickly but I might get 2 loadings.

Geckgo,
I am in SELA not SWLA, almost NOLA. I have never been to the Fusilier Complex. I heard they wanted to expand it. I have not shot too far west of the Mississippi River much. I do go to Palo Alto in Donaldsonville for some matches. The SO range near the Gonzales Cabela's I go to for matches (Acension Parish??). I don't get to matches as much as I would like, but I at least dabble in it. There is also Southern Shooting Center near Thibodeaux. As you know they are farther from you. Never been to Sherbune.
Bayoushooter.com is good for local happenings. I have met some real good guys there. The classifieds have some deals but I never get them. There is some foolishness but that is how the net is. Some of it is hilarious too.
I would not mind shooting with you. We would have to get some Boudin (Webster's, Charlie T's, Best Stop, Don's) or go to Carolines in Cecilia for lunch!:D

There is a gun shop in Arnaudville on Bayous Teche. It closes at noon of Fridays so I have never been there. I heard the guy was pretty good.

i've shot several cases of their m193 and it is great stuff for the money. brass is good for reloading.
can't recall any failures to go bang.

i have also tried their 223 match and 308 match and not been impressed with the accuracy in either case.

i have further tried a couple thousand new no-name match projectiles that i believe are made by prvi based on who i bought them from but i'm not 100% sure, and they didn't shoot great either

What bullet weight/rifling twist were you using? I have found the accuracy of their .223,75grn HP BT Match ammo to be not only good but outstanding fired from my Stevens Model 200 with 22" 1:9 twist barrel. I use a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 and fire 3 shot groups at 100 yards (rested). Results are impressive in anyones book.

I have shot a couple thousand rounds of their .303 ammo and have not had any fail to fire. It's good ammo and the brass reloads very nicely.

Taliv,
Were the projectiles from Wideners? I had good results with the 168s from them. I only get to 600yds though. At one time they stated they were Prvi but haven't see them name the mfg lately. They also don't give the BC. I just shoot them without knowing the BC. I haven't even tired to see if Wideners can provide the BC. They also taper alot more than others like Nosler, Sierra & Hornady which have a more pronounced straight section.

Yes, I know the 168s aren't the best choice for .308s. At some point I may move up the ammo food chain and switch to 175s with a pedigree.

Jimmy Ray,
I might by some of the .308 & .223 just to try it even though I reload.

Wntfw yes wideners but they were the 75g or 77g I can't remember which

Honestly I don't know what the twist is on the 308. I shot it with the kac sr25. To be fair I sold the rest of the ammo and the guy I sold it to reported decent accuracy in his rifle so it could have been a bbl/ammo combo that was suboptimal.

Still find me a 308 gun that doesn't shoot fed gm
Match 168 well... So there is room for improvement

Prvi is good stuff, the .308 I got from them was superior in all respects to the RORG surplus and the LC surplus I have put through my AR-10. Also shot their .223 and .45 ACP loads with complaint. Brass is great for reloading, most of it is annealed. Also, they are the only people I am aware of (thanks to members of this board) who make new 8x56R brass.
