I recently bought a new Gen 3 Glock 19 and have not shot it much. Maybe 50 round if not even. I thought about a gucci glock like the polymer 80s and other glock clones but with that I could just add a little more and get a real glock.

I've been seeing PSA ads for the PSA Dagger. Another glock clone for sub $200-$300 when it came out but with the current situation, they're going for $350 plus which I still think is a good deal. I see they're finally back in stock but sold out quick if not purchased right away. I'm waiting till back friday if I can find an all black or two tone black with gray slide. They currently have the two tone black with tan slide and night sights in stock.

has anyone have experience with these? I heard of initial issue with the first few but have not heard much since the gun was scarce. $350 I don't expect it to be a Glock but a decent gun. Also looking at other budget 9mms like the SW SD9ve and Taurus G3.

The idea of a Gen III Glock clone has grown on me. And I hate Glocks. I'll be getting one eventually, when I don't have to stalk the website hitting refresh for them to drop. They have a Facebook group for the Dagger that sometimes gives heads up when they come in stock. And a few PSA employees give the inside scoop. Even if you hate FB, it may be worth getting in there in order to get the details on when they come in.

The group also has complaints. The first complaint I saw come out is the trigger pins had a tendency to "walk" out of the frame under fire. PSA employees have posted that they have fixed this issue. Others have installed different trigger pins from companies like Wheaton and solved the issue. Either way, if you get your hands on a Dagger, I would shoot it first to see if you even have the issue before replacing parts. Second complaint I saw, people complain about the trigger. It is a hinged trigger like the M&Ps so not everyone likes that. And it is a $300ish dollar Glock knock off, it isn't going to have a target trigger. The two main fixes are get used to the trigger with some ammo time or replace it with one of dozens of Gen 3 triggers.

I have an SD40VE. I purchased a Boudica trigger kit from Galloway Precision and it made a noticeable difference. It was under $25 and money well spent. I bought this pistol just before Christmas 4 years ago at Dunham's for $199.

I have a Dagger.
Yes, my trigger pin "walked". I called the company. They mailed me a new trigger pin and I installed it. No more issue.
I love the pistol. I enjoy it more than any of the G19s I've owned.
Great value for sure.

I have a Dagger and I like it a lot.

My son is a Glock Advanced Armorer and I have been inundated with "check this" or "shoot this" or "look at this" about Glocks for years. I shoot Glocks okay, but the grips are too square and feel wrong to me, I dislike the standard square-outine plastic sights, and I do not care for the trigger safety bar in the middle of the trigger face. While none of those issues were deal-breakers, they were enough that Glocks never really appealed to me.

PSA did a fantastic job of rounding the Dagger's grip to fit my hand perfectly; I love the shape and texture of the grip. The Dagger's standard metal sights have 3 dots and suit my old eyes just fine. The hinged trigger is just something different from the Glock trigger, although PSA has a better implementation of the hinged trigger than S&W; my personal preference is the trigger design from Walther's P99.

I bought the Dagger because it was not a Glock but it had magazine compatibility with a PC carbine I have that uses Glock mags. The Glock magazine and parts compatibility (and aftermarket support) are huge pluses for the Dagger. My son went over my Dagger and his reaction was "It's a G19-3 without the Glock logo." Did I mention that I shoot the Dagger well ... really well?

I purchased a Taurus Millennium G2 PT111 for $197.98 in 2016. It's an OK pistol. I thought it was a good deal for under 200 bucks. The G2c and G3 models have some improvements, including Tennifer finish on the G3 pistols. I thought they were a pretty good deal for under $200.00 but I don't think they're worth $275 to $280.00 which is generally what they're going for now. Sometimes you can find them on sale for around $225.00

The trigger is kind of funky but it does have the advantage of always being a live trigger. Some people here get bent out of shape if you refer to it as a DA/SA trigger. Taurus calls the action "Single action with re-strike capability." Taurus claims the “trigger system solves the double action/single action dilemma once and for all.”

I bought it to put in my Get Home Bag. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something that was basically just going to sit in a bag most of the time. I wanted something really cheap and not something that I would worry about exposing to the heat, humidity and freezing temperatures of sitting in the trunk of my car, which is where my GHB would be (mostly).

It is a pretty mediocre gun in most respects. I don't really enjoy shooting it at the range and since I do have guns that I really do enjoy shooting, I put 25 rounds through the Millennium PT111 about 3 times a year - that is a loaded mag with one in the chamber and another mag.

Was peaking around PSA the other day and low and behold they had Daggers in stock!!!
I snagged a black one with night sights for $349.99. Shipping to my dealer was $17.00. Transfer fee was $20.00. So $386.99 OTD.

I picked it up today and shot 50rds through it. A mixture of FMJ and JHP. It ran just fine. I nailed my 10 inch gongs easily.
I thought I was going to HATE the S&W M&P jointed trigger. Turns out it's a non-issue. The trigger is less "jointy" that the M&P trigger. I shot just fine with it.

I too read the complaints of trigger pins walking. I'll keep an eye on it but so far no issues. I also read this gun wouldn't fit my Glock 19 holsters. That is true but it fits my Glock 21 Sport Holster just fine. Even clicks in and out of it.

Is it a Glock 19 replacement? That is a very good possibility. At $386.99 w/ night sights, I plan on getting a few more of them.

To the OP, Thanks for starting this thread. I have been looking at these for a while. Every review I have read of them is good. I'm pretty sure I will wind up with one just not sure when.

No experience with the Dagger but I did have a Taurus PT-111 Millennium G2. I wound up selling it. I didn't like the trigger & the blued finish was easily damaged. It did work okay.

I am curious about the night sights. Having night sights isn't really a priority for me though I am not really against having them. The night sights I saw them selling the Dagger with were listed as white. I have had night sights on a pistol in the past they were green. I find myself wondering how well white night sights show up.

They are TruGlo Tritium night sights - green with white outlines. Nice and bright in low light / dark. I rotate between 3 primary carry guns - a Glock 19, Glock 26, and Ruger LC9S Pro. I have added the following tritium night sights on these guns:

$60 - Glocks - AmeriGlo

$48 - Ruger - TruGlo

While Tritium, in my experience, only stays bright for about 10 years. I like having every advantage on a carry gun.

. Thanks. The reason I was wondering was they listed them as white.

looks like they've been bringing them back in stock a little at a time. usually sold out in a couple of hours. I think I'll go with the all black with night sights. Will probably order this weekend or sometime next week unless there is some amazing black friday special. Also found an austrian made Glock 17 gen 3 for $500. Might get that too as that was the model I originally wanted.

how are holsters? Any luck on glock 19 holsters fitting for the dagger? I have quite a few holsters on hand: Galco, Safariland and Blackhawk.

I have a bunch of holsters. Will try them today and post this afternoon.

Tried a few different G19 holsters Kydex and Leather - the Dagger works just fine in the majority of them.

Put in for a notification once back in stock. Got that notification earlier and placed an order within the next couple of minutes. Checked back and was sold out again within 15 minutes of the notification.

I got the all black with night sights along with a Glock 17 gen 3 and a few others. Now the wait begins.

My order took a few days to process but arrived Monday. I thought it was going to be longer with the busy season but PSA did so in a timely manner. First impressions was that it doesn't feel like a glock. Mainly because of the grip texture and design. It feels like a solid and well made gun. Took it home and handle it some more. It may look like a Glock 19 but in some ways better. Not really a front serration guy but it's nice that it's there. Grip feels bigger than a glock? Or maybe more rounded. Texturing on grip reminds me of my Taurus PT111, very nice. Night sights are decent and glow pretty bright in total darkness. Not a fan of the trigger. I don't mind the hinge but once you hit the wall, there is still some travel until the trigger breaks. Very much like my pt111. I much prefer the glock trigger.

I tried my glock 19 slide on it and it's slide on my 19 frame, everything works as it should. Mags drop free. I've noticed that the controls are slightly extended compared to the standard 19, like the magazine release, slide lock and take down levers. Dagger did not fit in my Serpa Glock 19 holster. Had to force it in at first and a lot of friction. Still a very tight fit but works. I bought two more Magpul mags for it and three OEM mags for my Glock 19. Botach Tactical has OEM Glock mags for $20 (use to be $15) and 10% off Black Friday sale plus free sandals if order was over $75 or something like that. I opted for the free sandals but there were only two sizes left and for women. I guess I'll just give them to my girlfriend. And I don't even have a girlfriend. Maybe that's why I can still have nice things, j/k.

My Glock 17 also arrived with this order. Nothing much to say about it. I have medium hands but prefer the full grip of the 17/22. I have been so busy with work and won't be able to shoot it for a while. If everything turns out good, might consider getting another one. For my girlfriend of course.

I had been watching these for a while. My wife instructed me to buy myself a gun for Christmas & I saw them up again at gun.deals . I ordered the sniper green version with night sights for $379.99. I don't know if it will be in before Christmas or not but I think it will be a good present.

I got an email and looks like the RMR slide model is now out for $379. The all black one with night sights that I bought is now $20 cheaper. If I do end up liking the Dagger, might buy a second one with the RMR cut.

I keep looking at these, and am greatly tempted to pull the trigger on one at these prices. I don't need a Glock clone, I already have 4 9mm Glocks (G17, G26, G19, G45), but it might be fun for comparison purposes. (Heck, who am I kidding, I just want another gun!)

OEM Glock mags should drop free. The cutouts are there only if you need them. Now MagPul mags don't like to drop free when loaded since they bulge.
