PSA PS9 Dagger

The main difference between Polymer80 and this PSA, is cost. Tools and parts, you will spend about as much if not more on a Polymer80 build than a stock Glock. Vast majority of consumers are more likely to buy a Glock than build one. PSA is directly undercutting Glock. Like the Sigma did. S&W also didn't advertise that the Sigma could swap some parts with Glock. That nail in the copyright case was found out by consumers. PSA is either being brave from a business standpoint or came to an agreement with Glock.
. Please tell what Glock parts will fit my early Sigma's ? Will a Glock 19 slide fit ?

No - you're forgetting something. Designs can't be covered by copyrights - only patents. They can't call it a Glock or risk stepping on Glock's trademark, but they haven't done that (which is why if you'll notice they don't even say it takes Glock mags - they say it comes with a Magpul GL9 mag).

When the Sigma came out in 1994, Glocks had only been on the market for 12 years and their patents on the design were still valid. Now though, everything in the Gen 3 Glocks have passed out of patent protection. As a result anybody can make a direct clone of the design with no issue. It's sort of like 1911 clones - the design is long out of patent protection so it's not like Colt can sue over people copying it.

That's also why you'll notice that everyone making clones is cloning the Gen 3 design and not Gen4 or newer.

No - the Glock 19 slide is too short to fit on a Sigma and the Glock 17 slide is too long. Below is a picture of some measurements I took a while back between my Sigma SW357 and a Glock 19 slide. Of course, while the parts may not interchange, it's pretty clear that the Sigma is nearly a direct copy of the Glock design - moreso than most other striker fired polymer guns.

So is this a Glock for the guys that hate Glock?

Well I don’t actually hate Glock. The Glock doesn’t fit my hand well. That and it being overpriced has made it easy for me to avoid buying one. The polymer striker gun role in my house is filled by the S&W M&P 9mm.

I am interested in a 9mm carbine and pistol combination pair but have put off buying one because none of them use M&P or Beretta 92 magazines. (I know about the Beretta carbine). A reliable handgun in the same price range as the M&P that uses Glock magazines will probably result in me getting both a carbine and pistol combo.

The 80% guys probably won't buy it because they'll have to fill out an ATF form at a dealer.

Wonder what a "daily special" along with a "blem" will sell for? lol

Aside from the Beretta Carbine that you mentioned, the Kel-tec Sub2000 is available in a version that takes either of those types of mags too.

Count me in as well as wanting to check one of these bad boys out. I'm guessing the only way to get one is shipping to a FFL?

It depends on whom you ask.

Liberals will tell you that you don't need to involve an FFL when buying guns over the internet.

Conservatives and the law will tell you differently, which BTW, is correct.

From what what I've read it's in the $300. range MSRP which usually means it will sell for less. The frame is gen 3 and many Glock parts are interchangeable. I have a 19 that sits normally in my safe but has been coming out a lot more for some rason. It may be the last range trip that showed how accurate it is and digging thru my holsters I found one that works just fine. Put some Talon like grips on it and man it's pretty nice. Not that my XDE and XD 9 will sit much either. The XDE I can also ankle carry.

So roughly out the door depending on FFL fees and shipping around $350ish I'm guessing

I have never pulled a MP trigger how do you compare to Glocks.
Soon we have another funny show over the city, if I like the pull may be a good to go after the beta tester are consolidated.

I think ... That PSA charges tax .. I maybe wrong ...
My FFL charges $20.00 a transfer
My State charges $10.00 for background
So for me
$300 pistol
$20.00 shipping ?
$30 tax (TN 9.6 %)
$20.00 transfer
$10.00 background
$380.00 total

I'm sure you'll be able to get them for less than $300 - just wait for those "blems" :).

Luckily I've got one of their retail locations about 20 minutes away so I can skip everything but the taxes.

Gosh do you think PSA will offer this pistol as a receiver free kit that can be built onto a 80 percent frame? That is their bread and butter with the AR 15 stuff after all.

I wonder if my FFL would be willing to just order it through them and I just pay them. Idk . I've never ordered online before.

Unless they are a very good friend, expect them to add a markup.

Ordering online is painless.
@MilesR

I have ordered over 200 firearms online .. and that is a very conservative estimate... Its as easy as pie ...

First find a FFL to do the transfer ... average cost in this area is $25.00
I pay $20 ..
They will email there FFL to PSA
You send your payment
They send the pistol to your FFL
You pick it up ....

Easy Peasy .... Lemon squeezey
