Pump 22 Rifle Returned From Henry

I've had a Henry pump .22wmr for years now, was a bit rough when new but wore in quickly.
But a Henry pump will never be as smooth as a vintage pump, ever. As mentioned above, different
I also bought a Rossi Gallery gun a few years ago for $120 new and while the finish looks like it was painted on and the receiver screws are phillips, it's been a good shooter with surprisingly low effort action. I just got the black furniture version with the FO sights, makes a good truck/yard gun.
But no one making anything as nice as the old pumpers, and prices are starting to reflect that.

I bought a new Henry pump 22 from a local dealer just 4 weeks ago. The slide was very difficult to operate and would sometimes lock up making it very difficult to return the slide to its starting position. I never fired it and contacted Warranty service. They sent me a return label with instructions. It went to Bayonne NJ. After two weeks I got it back and it operates like it should. Very pleased. They sent a note "What we did: Replaced Bolt Assembly and Locking Bar, Adjusted Action, Oiled and Checked Over Ok. Test Fired Ok." I'm probably going to buy another Henry, the Long Ranger Express in 223.
