Quick help needed - CZ front sight roll pin question

Ok - So I have this new Hi-Viz front sight for my CZ-85 Compact. I wanna install it. I have some buddies at work that can punch out the current roll-pin so that I can slide the new sight in. Apparently I also need to then drill a hole through the tongue of the sight so that the roll-pin may be reinserted.

My question is, can I reuse the same roll pin, or do I need to purchase a new one?

Thanks!

You can use the same roll pin. And you don't need to DRILL the front sight. Just cut a groove with a file edge. You see how little is needed when you pull the old one out. Use it as a guide.

Thanks Walt! I didn't think to post it into CZF this morning . . . . and I don't have access to it at work.

I'll try it tomorrow ( I hope ) and let y'all know how it goes.

Walt - I installed the new front site this morning. Looks very good! Thanks for the help.

And about the site: Although . . . . . . . . . It's not that I'm disappointed in the Hi-Viz sight - but it's just not as bright as I'd expected. Maybe the ads and such were doctored photos or, during the photo shoot, the sites had a little off camera help ( small yet concentrated beam/stream of light to illuminate them ).

Looks wise - they're very cool!

Gary where did you get your front sight for the CZ ?? I tried to get one from the sight guy in Conn. and all he would do was a set, rear and front..Have a set of adj. sights for my 75b and wanted to see if the F.O.front would help.. At the moment have optics on everything, damn these old eyes..
