Quality rifle Cases

@Bazoo I'm afraid I won't be of any help with the sling. I've used the 1907 sling, and the "Ching" slings, but really am no kind of rifleman and don't have much worthwhile experience. I'm sure the depth of knowledge at THR will find you what you need!

A quick search of the obvious places did not turn up the Murray case. It must be in a bin somewhere and I will dig it out over the weekend.

This is a fun post. I love quality leather gun cases, but don't spend for them. For a better than average soft side case. it is hard to do better than Boyt. One feature that is indispensable for me is a good zipper. it is very frustrating to wrestle with a cheap zipper every time you want to use the case. Boyt cases are solid quality all the way thru.

Right now, the best quality case I have is an American Mountain Supply. Made before they sold out. It is much better than the china ones that box stores sells. I know that ALLEN makes usa made ones and sells at those stores, and I have a couple of those, and while better than a china case, they don't offer the features, style, or quality I am looking for. The Boyt USA made case looks pretty nice.

Thanks bummer. I already have a handful of those type. A style to match the gun is as important to me anything else.

I haven't made any decisions yet. I am still looking. But I have some serious contenders. I appreciate all the suggestions.

I like nice stuff but I'm having trouble getting my head wrapped around a $500-$600 gun case! They do look great!
Understandable, I have the same issue when I hear guys say you have to spend 2x the cost of a rifle on optics for that rifle. Maybe... some will, I won't. I don't shoot high power precision long distance competitions. But, if I put $2k-$3k down on a rifle, that doesn't need optics, that is a one-off, custom piece made for me, I would put some $$ into what I tote it around in. A $500 case is way less investment (in a possibly hand made item) than $4k optic that I wouldn't be able to comprehend the need for. Just a thought.

I own a few of the Filson gun cases, and when I take my nice rifles to the range, that's what they travel in.

I understand! They are beautiful cases but I just can’t imagine spending that much money.
