I have a few CZ’s including the 75D compact and P-01 Omega (Also a compact, but with the full length frame adding a bit of weight). I put Cajun Gun Works springs/firing pin/enhanced pins, etc. in all of my CZ-75’s and the trigger pulls in DA and SA are fantastic across the board.
From top; CZ-75 Compact, CZ-75 P-01 Omega and a CZ 2075 RAMI, all 9mm:
The “Ca compliant” stuff only means we can buy them here in Ca because the guns met the Ca DOJ requirements for “safety” (HA!) and have 10 round mags. In free states, it only means you will have to buy larger capacity magazines to take advantage of the double stack design.
The standard round count in the magazine is 15, Gun Mag Warehouse usually has these Mec Gar’s in stock. These magazines have been first rate for me since day one.
The CZ-75 design fits my mid-sized hands like they designed them for me. Even with a long-ish DA trigger reach with some models, like on the CZ- 97 .45 ACP, I shoot them all really well.
The points of the CZ that may become a weakness are the trigger return spring, which can wear and break over after lots of use. Replacement isn’t difficult, and CZ competition shooters often have a spare spring in a range kit since they shoot so often. The firing pin retaining roll pin is another part that can get dinged with a lot of dry firing. A solid replacement pin from Cajun is only a few bucks and just takes a pin punch and small hammer to drive out/drive in for a permanent fix.
If you buy one, I think you will like it. If you do the basic Cajun Gun Works stuff like I have done to mine, I think you will love it.
Stay safe.
