question about soft cast vs. hard cast bullets

You may well be right, this is above my area of expertise. The fact that the ones Gad's Reloading shipped me did no better aroused those very suspicions. And after thinking about it, the ones we loaded first and thought did well were using a paper target hanging in the wind. Hard to tell from them exactly how the bullets impacted.
I stopped at a gunshoptoday to see if he would like to take a look at it but he declined as it is not a mechanical problem with the gun.
Thanks guys for all the input. If I get it fixed one way or another, I will update you.

another picture 3 out of 4

Because I had time and this is really perplexing me (I hate to give up on anything), I loaded 4 cartridges when I got home. I backed off to 10 gr 4227 with results being 4 out of 4 keyholed the target
I reloaded same brass, with just 8 gr 4227 and this is my results. I still don't know what to make of this. I have no idea of velocity tho it is still shooting thru 3 pieces of 3/4 plywood.
I am going to check around tomorrow for a reputable gunsmith anyway.
