I use my office address as a mailing address for almost everything.

I was going to fill out the application with my home as the address in section 3 and my office as the Mailing address in section 4.

So when I buy something which address do the guns get sent to? The premises address or the Mailing Address?

Just to make it more interesting, the two addresses are in different counties. Should I send the CLEO copy to the chief of which county?

Try calling the Firearms and Explosives Licensing Center in Atlanta, Georgia, (404) 417-2750.

You may also want to contact your local ATF office - I'm sure California is going to have some funny laws regarding C&R...you might want to get the info straight from the ATF.

Good luck with it!

The premises address should be the location where any firearms obtained with the license will stored. It is also the address to which the guns have to be shipped.

As to the CLEO, really you should only have to send a copy of the application to the CLEO of the county/city where your residence is. However, you could send it to both, just to CYA.

;)

It's not your CLEO's business to decide whether you are issued a C&R FFL, it's just a collection of information is all. :) Though if you have any criminal history that would preclude a FFL, they will alert the BATFE.

The BATFE will decide whether you qualify (and unless you've done something really stupid in your life, you should have no problem at all).
