Hello. I have been a long time reader here and just wanted to take a moment to query you guys.
I recently purchased a cannon patriot gun safe with an S&G lock. in the showroom, there were safes with different locks. when i got this one home, i was a little perplexed.
this lock is SUPER touchy. you have to enter the six digits JUST PERFECT, in perfect order, pause for a split second and then hit the pound sign. If i dont enter the code in like ive practiced, the safe doesnt open. infact, even entering the right code more then a couple times and it seems to lock up, sometimes for hours.
this can be a bit irritating. I am concerned i am going to need to get to my guns quickly one day and be locked out due to hasty button pushing.
i am curious if anyone else out there has had this experience.. and if anyone can reccomend anything to me to fix this problem. wouldnt be opposed to switching locks, etc. or is there a chance this one could be deffective?? had to wait around for 30 minutes yesterday just to get some cash out its worse then the atm. please advise. thanks!
