Questions for Concealed Carry

Concealing is no problem with the correct holster. I usually carry IWB in a Milt Sparks VM-2 but occasionally I will carry Mexican style in SOB if I'm just going to be out for a few minutes. With a loose shirt or light jacket its easy to conceal.

When first carrying concealed a lot of people are thinking that everyone is looking at them to see if they are carrying.............but noone is.

I'm a big guy and I carry IWB Comp-Tac M-tac at about 4:00 and hardly notice my CZ P-06.

so either a **** untucked, or some kind of jacket. if it is a little loose (oversize) it is easier to conceal.
Not necessary. Even holsters not designed to be "tuckable" work tucked to a surprising degree.

Other than sweatshirts, I HATE untucked shirts and will NEVER, EVER wear one. I typically wear a tucked polo shirt with jeans or dress slacks. 99% of the time I carry a full sized auto or revolver in a Don Hume 715M IWB. I tuck the shirt in up to the opposte sides of the holster. I then blouse the gun side of the shirt underneath so that it covers the top of the gun. It looks virtually identical to the tucked side. I've never been "made" and even people who know I carry don't know when I'm carrying.

You can always drop a few extra bucks and buy a holster designed to be tucked.

How do you folks conceal carry? I hear of folks carrying a 357 mag--heck I have trouble concealing my 32 ACP Iver Johnson. Is there some tricks to this I'm not getting?
Here are my thoughts: Everyone is different, and what doesnt work for some might be optimal for another. It just takes time and experimentation to see whats best for yourself. Of course good recomendations of what others find to be the best is always helpful. Me, I carry my Ruger SuperRedhawk Alaskan .454 as my main conceal weapon. Its a lot lighter than the reg SR, but still wieghs in at 2 lbs 10oz empty, and 3lbs 2oz full.(300gr Hornady FMJHP). SInce the barrel is 2.5in, I can either wear it on a belt holster (conceals nicely) or in my concealed carry vest (Coranado heavy leather biker vest). I found that I can put (as a backup) my S&W M&P .40compact in my boot (left inside) without a holster and its nice and snug as well as easy to get at. I have a shoulder holster for both the M&P and my Colt 1991-A1 .45, and sometimes just wear one of those. (.45 is a Galco Jackass rig, .40 is a Desantis executive. both leather) I was lucky that both expensive rigs are VERY comfy so I didnt have to bother with the hassle of finding a better fitting rig.
I usually change how I carry depending on what Im doing that day, hell sometimes I'll just carry open all day. (Tucson has open carry if you dont have a CCW, but its fairly rare to see someone walking around w/ a gun on their hip, so it's interesting to see peoples faces and sometimes comments when a 230lb tattooed biker like myself is grocery shopping) Actually meet some great people that way. ANYWAY, good luck in your hunt, cause it sure isn't easy..trial and error.
