I know the difference in FFG - FFFG -FFFFG. Currently I have APP powder that is FFG for my rifle, but ran out of powder for my pistol. I know that the FFG is larger granules and burns at a slower rate. Question is if I use the FFG in revolver for a few shots should the powder measure be still set at say 25G or increased to 27-28 G.

I've had the larger grains of 2Fg BP cause bridging in my powder measure and throw light charges. You don't want a ball lodged in the barrel thinking it was a misfire. So, be ANAL and actually look into each chamber before seating the wad or ball to verify a proper charge. If the APP is anything like its parent, Black Canyon, it is like kitty litter and won't flow regularly through a flask or spout. Otherwise a nice firm seating should crush it enough to give decent power but you would likely get a lighter charge thrown by the same spout.

35 grains of heavily compressed APP fffg with an over powder wad was a potent load in my Remington and there was even enough room left in the chambers for loading more powder. Perhaps loading a similar amount of APP ffg (or even a little more just because it's so coarse) would produce much more satisfactory results than the rather smallish amount of 25 grains.
After all it's APP and not 777 which requires 15% less to be equivalent. :)
