Quick Question: Re-Finished?

that’s the one K38 Masterpiece… they say it’s better than the original Python

Single and double action is no doubt smoother and lighter than python. Looks and handfeel are more similar to your colt though which makes both the 38's a lot of fun.

Finish no doubt. Trigger and such not sure. I only have an older one. Darn lgs has a couple stainless new models sitting on the counter and they let me handle them. Little I have handled them trigger seems good but haven't tried much.

If colt comes out with a 22lr I will have to get a side job.
They are making a King Cobra Target .22. They couldn't call it a Diamondback because they no longer own the trademark to that moniker.
My LGS has been trying to get one for a while but they are in short supply.

I do want one, though Id prefer a 6-8" barrel. If they offered a .22 Python, Id be all over that...... but I like big guns that shoot small bullets. ;)

our hobby is cheap compare to Boats and Bro Dozer Truck

and they hold there value
Nice pick up Mark. That things lovely.
I try to convince myself of that everyday, and yes, for the most part they do hold value, especially these days.
I really lucked into my last purchase, the Vintage Redhawk. The best part......my missus, little does she know, paid for half of it. Kinda a Johnny Cash deal.....

Enjoy that mate, good onya

Happy Wife… Happy Gun Collection!

I just started collecting about 8 months ago, and I’m mostly focusing on Colts. A beginner move, but we have to start somewhere. WhatI don’t know is S&W’s and Rugers?!?!?! U’ll get there one day

Well....she wasn't happy when she found out, but she got quiet in a hurry when I told her I only paid 400 bux for it, and that's the truth.....only 400 came out of my pocket. I don't wanna crap on this great thread with that story, I'll share it sometime cause it's a hoot. To change Johnny's song a bit, "I got it one can at a time, and it only cost me half the dimes"

And it appears somehow over the last couple yrs I've become a collector of Ruger revolvers.

when down the polishing & blueing rabbit hole.

they polish 1st and that determines the quality of the blueing

then they do the stamping and poof marks

With all those sharp, well defined edges and raised metal on the stamps? I highly doubt that. But even if it's refinished, it's a job well done.

I agree.

It’s a beauty @Mark_Mark
I prefer S&W and Ruger revolvers, but if I saw that one in a case at that price it would stop me in my tracks.

I appreciate everyone expertise!!! it matter only a little as it was sold once it touch my hands! I can’t wait!!!

Shame that these guns sat in a safe for decades without being shot!

If someone hadn't kept it in a (more likely) sock drawer all those years, you wouldn't have found it in the condition you did. ;)

I'm one who believes there are ways to enjoy a fine gun without actually shooting it. Now most I do shoot, but there are some that I just enjoy having. Someday, someone else will be free to do whatever they want with them.

Oh, and if that a refinish, I'd like the name of the person who did it. I might have some business for him. :)
