So i got the deal with two new kids in the safe. Two MKIII Browning's with 16 magazines. Both guns are in great condition. No Scratches or handling marks period. Even came with the original box for the Blued one. Figured i needed to throw up pics and show off.

The shocking thing was one person was ahead of me for this deal, and he backed out the night of... So i decided i had to jump for it, Specially for a chrome one. And of course, having 22 people in the last post saying "BUY! BUY! BUY!" helped me pull the trigger.

You chose...wisely.

BTW I believe those are Navidrex Combat Grips on the blued one and worth about $40-$50, although I could be wrong but they aren't factory grips.

The other one looks to me like it has been hard chromed, I don't think it came that way from the factory, however whoever did the work on it seems to have done a very good job.

It came with another set of grips too, so i have three sets. I had a feeling that the Hard Chrome one was not an original hard chrome, but i cant find a flaw on the dang thing... If it was done from an outside gunsmith, they did a solid job.

If it were factory chrome I believe it would have a gold trigger and the small parts such as the extractor, slide lock lever and safeties would be black. Whoever chromed that gun did the entire gun other than the sights which is a big indicator that it was a custom job.

Still a great deal and it should be a fine shooter.

You mentioned in your previous thread that you were thinking of selling one of them. If I were to sell one of them I would sell the chromed one, keep the blued one because it's original in the box and will hold it's value well over the years if kept in good condition.

Learn something new every day... I just might have to go that route and keep the blued. Ill go take them both out and see which one fits better, even tho they both feel great in my hand...

Is that original finish on the blue one? Looks like the safety and slide release don't quite match. And the hammers are not original equipment. Even with those "flaws" you got a great deal.

Don't be too jealous, guys. Soon enough, he's going to find out they were stolen, were used in murders, and will have to give them to the police. :)

Lets hope they are not used in a Murder... It would be a tragity to ruin such a nice pair of guns. =)

I was told the blued was all original except the hammer and mag springs removed. The mag release and safety are a bit "duller" tho. Either way...

Earlier, you said you were probably going to sell one. Have you decided yet which of your kids you will give up? They are both very sharp lookers. It would be a tough choice for me. (even though I tend to prefer blued over plated)

It might take a trip to the range to decide for sure. I bet the hard chrome cleans up easier.

I am thinking of selling the blued with 8 Mags right now. The hard Chrome just looks a bit sexier to me. Even tho the blued has a better trigger, Same no creep, but a bit lighter. EIther way i think i gotta take them both out... =)

Nice pick-up. It looks like both hammers have been replaced. MKIIIs all come with spur hammers except for the Practical. The ambi safety on blue looks a little worn but MKIIIs came with those and I can't imagine why someone would replace it with another ambi. The grips on the blued gun look like Herrits to me. CDNN sells them. They are nice but I do not like the plam swell.

The hard chrome does not look like a factory job but if its done well then who cares. As others have stated the factory ones came with gold triggers. The rear sight on the chrome has been changed. The front sight is the sight which ships with the adjustable rear.

The ring hammer on the chromed one does not look like a browning hammer. It sits way to far into the frame. Compared to the blued one which to my eyes looks factory. So IMHO its a bit of a frankengun but again if it shoots who cares.

Either way you got a solid deal. If it were me I would keep both.

The hammer on the hard chrome one looks like a Cylinder and Slide no-bite hammer to me. The refinish does look good. Heck of a deal.

I agree it does look like it might be a C&S no bite. Again if the person who did the work did a good job and you like it that is all that matters.
