I am wanting to order a new range bag and have narrowed it down to the Green Mountain Sports bag and the Shooters Connection Tournament Series bag. Is one better than the other quality wise?

Thanks, Mike

I've been dragging around an old Shooters Connection around for 10 years to probably 150 matches. The dye is a little faded, the paints chipped off the zippers, the handle is a little frayed but the fabric is bulletproof with no wear. There seems to be a layer of foam sown in which helps the bag hold its shape.

I have had both I like the standard Green MTN bag size a little better, but the Shooters Connection (my current shooting bag) is better quality and it has more features.

You really can't go wrong with either one, but the SC bag is a better deal.

I, too, have both bags. Well, and a lot of other bags. Started off with a too bag, then a generic geriatric range bag, then a Dillon range bag (very nice, but too small for schelping around IPSC gear), and then a Green Mountain.

Used the Green Mountain for three years, and was happy with it.

Won a Shooter's Connection at the Nationals last year, and decided to give it a try. It is a bit more bulky, but far more organize...orgainizable? More pockets... Carries the same amount of junk, but in easier-to-locate zippered pockets :)

I'd go with the SC, were I in the "bag market."

Thanks for the link, Mike :)

Holy buckets are they expensive! Way out of my price range for the time being... I think my $10 "mechanic's tool bag" will have to do for a while. ;)

I received the Shooters Connection bag today and it is REALLY nice. I think I finally found the perfect range bag. I was able to look at a Green Mountain and it is a very nice bag, but I think the Shooters Connection is a step above. If you can get a discount at Brownells they are only $119.

Thanks for all the replies steering me towards this bag.
