My brother and I own our own firm and have 4 women/girls employees. Becuase i have gun related shipments delivered to my office, the employees know that I am a shooter. My brother is too, but to a lesser extent.
They were apprehensive but curious at first and after several converstaions asked if we could go shooting. So a couple of days ago, my brother an I closed the office for a day and we all went to the range.
We started of with Ruger 10/22 rifles, worked up to a couple of AR15's, then a .308, which they all liked, and ended with a .30-'06. 2 of the 4 could handle the .30-'06, 2 didn't like it.
After rifles, we moved to the pistol line and went from .22lr Sig Sauer Mosquito, to a couple of 9mm, .45 and .38spc.
A great time was had by all, and they want to make it a regular monthly "business meeting". Sounds like a good idea to me.
I think the more non-shooters that can be introduced to the sport, the more they will understand the mystique and the less threatened they will feel.
