Range day

Well, I went to the range today with my friend, and things are great. Until we decied, lets switch guns for a few shots. I shoot his, no problem, he shoots mine, no problem, until he gets up. He sets the gun down, but not securly and it just falls right when he lets go. I get a sorry. So we pack up, trying to be nice, he packs up my guns, wrong. He put the wrong end in, put the shotgun in with the wrong side up, didn't latch the case closed. We drive home, and I buy gun blueing stuff to blue to scratch's, but he didn't offer to pay, great friend huh? He lacks common sense if you couldn't tell. The good news is that I found out that the gun blueing stuff works great, I got the birchwood casey, blueing paste. I learned who not to go the range with, and that my gun still shoots accuratly, but the trigger feels heavier and more crisp, I don't know why. It was only a marlin 25n .22lr, but my dad gave it to me and it was my second firearm.

Well if I were him, I would be so embarrassed that I wouldn't know what to say. Maybe if you approach him, in a nice way about it things would work out. Like don't run up to him screaming "you broke my gun, pay up now or else".

Maybe you didn't understand the thread. He was angry first mostly because of how his idiot friend dropped his rifle. I suppose he shouldn't be angry because his friend dropped the gun?

Sorry I was inspecting the gun he just dropped to see if it function and he goes and puts them away. Like esmith said maybe you just don't understand. And I didn't realize that he put them in the wrong way until I took them out to clean them at home. I just noticed the latch not being put on when I went to pick it up. And since I didn't have all of the guns on the same bench and had ear protection in due to the fact that people were shooting guns, I couldn't hear him do it and it wasn't right in front of me or on my table. I guess me assuming that he was competant enough to put a gun away right and close the action was thinking to much of him.

He didn't break the gun, I just looked the gun over and fired it a few times, as there didn't seem to be any damage other than minor scratches. The more I think about it and "whine" he is rather ignorant and all he said was sorry. If it were me, like you said, I would be embarrassed, sorry as hell, and would immediatly have my wallet out when he went buy something to make it look better. I wouldn't have the balls to look him in the eyes. But he just looks at me telling me how much he too would like an SKS because they are great. He knows nothing of firearms, other than they can be loud, and in his mind "they, as in themselves not a person" kill.

i dont know about your friends but i could be in a fox hole with mine if you cant go to war with them and count on them your not friends i have 3 catgorerys of friends ABC, A your foxhole friends pretty much family, B friend cant count on just to hold the ammo, and C you just know him as a accunise.
use the system and you will be fine

Yes, because the grammer of this thread it the key feature, not the words/story.

i dont know about your friends but i could be in a fox hole with mine if you cant go to war with them and count on them your not friends i have 3 catgorerys of friends ABC, A your foxhole friends pretty much family, B friend cant count on just to hold the ammo, and C you just know him as a accunise.
