Some asked for Range Report and PIcs whenever I got out to shoot my new Charles Daly Hi Power 9mm. Here it is.
I took it out yesterday for first time. I loaded the mag with 12 rounds. All 12 are viewable in the PIC. Remember that the CD Hi Power has the XS sights that most, I have found ,don't really like. I had no idea whether I would like them or not since I had never used them. Also I fired all 12 rounds from 15 yards or 45 feet. I had no rest. I fired standing with 2 hand hold.I had to fire a couple to see where to hold the sights that are fixed and after that it was easy and I had wonderful results. I shot the first 2 holding at 6 o clock. They hit a little low. I fired 2 more holding more center and a tad right and they were still not quiet there. I then fired the remaining 8 shots with the front sight dead over the bullseye and I got happier with every shot. I could not make out each hole because of the distance and the fact that they were all touching. I did know, however, that they were going in the bullseye because I saw no other holes on the white background and noticed the black hole in the bullseye getting bigger. I was thrilled when I went to the target to pull it. I was in a hurry and was so pleased with the results that I left after the one magazine fired. I have to say that I have never had a handgun fire this accurately from just being bought and shot for the first time. And, contrary to popular opinion, I was more than pleased with the XS Sights and LOVE them. I feel I have been blessed hugely with a nice Hi Power and already wish I had another just like it so you know what is going to happen soon don't you. Thanks Had to edit because I forgot to post the pic. What was I thinking? Here it is: I have edited the photo and you can see a bigger image of the photo here a little lower in the thread on my update post.
