They seem to be a chain. They opened one real close to me and I have yet to check it out. Based on my endless emails from them they appear to be a gun shop with a range. They get about $25 an hour for range time but they offer a few membership options based on a monthly membership. This is the one local to me. A monthly membership runs $30 a month and that basic membership is all I need. Shoot all I want on weekdays (no weekends) but being retired I like weekdays. :) Maybe Monday I will visit the place but wondering if anyone here is familiar with them?

I am a member at the Mentor store. Nice place, friendly staff. The prices are a little bit high on guns and ammo, but not terrible. I like the place.
Thanks for that input. I am looking at the Valley View location. On a bright note it is right beside the Quaker Stake and Lube so after shooting nice wings to go. :)

I am a member and frequent the Cincinnati East store. Unless I am mistaken membership is good chain wide, not store specific. I have a premium membership so I can reserve a lane. Cincinnati East has a few 100 yard indoor lanes so that is what I do. Premium membership is cheaper than two hours of range time per month. I have shot in three different stores on my membership. Great place, as said friendly folks and a decent stock of firearms.

I have used my membership at multiple locations. I travel for work and it's nice to get some range time while in the road.

I have purchased a few guns from them out of their used inventory and during sales events.

Read their store/range policies. They require signing their range waiver once a year, you have to use factory ammo in rental guns (some locations required purchasing their ammo), they did require showing ID for all purchases and were scanning your DL even for things like a hat or cleaning supplies. I've heard they relaxed the ID requirement but haven't made any purchases lately.

Range policies include no rapid fire or holster draw.

All of the locations I have been in have been clean and appeared well run. If you hit the range twice a month the membership is worthwhile.

+1 on Range USA. (Formerly Point Blank)
My local RangeUSA is 4 miles away, and another one near where my son works.
I can meet him for lunch & range time.
There is discounted range time for duffers ladies etc on different days.
There are discounted memberships for military, vets & first responders.
They have classes etc.

I prefer to shoot outdoors, but the ones in and around the Houston metro are really nice, and membership options are reasonable. I'd be a member if I needed to join a different range.

Well tomorrow I guess I will head to Range USA. :) I already read their policies and rules and signed off on all of it. Nice to know they have used guns because very little of what is new out there trips my trigger. Apparently these guys are everywhere. Had a birthday a few days ago and the dogs and my wife gave me a few gift cards and now I have a use for them. :)

Many thanks to those posting information.

Been to one. Was OK.
Yup, a chain, carry mostly stuff I'm not interested in.
Prefer mom n pop shops with different stock.

The one I went to in a big city, so lots of newer type shooters, proly why inventory mostly polymer and AR stuff.

I've been to the Cincinnati East location and the Grove City location. Nice enough facilities Never used the range but took a tour. I understood the ID thing for ammo purchases but the Grove City store required my ID to buy a holster and couldn't give me an explanation as to why. Just "it's required for all purchases". I bought it anyway but I can tell you, I'm not thrilled with being on some national holster registry now.

I believe there are two in the Columbus area, one in Lewis Center to the north, and one in Grove City to the southwest. I've not been in either, but I am considering checking out the Grove City store since it's the one closer to me.

Good to know as I have kids and grandkids in the Gahana and Westerville areas. When I am down there I try to get the grandkids out with me for some shooting. Thanks :)

We travel a lot for business and have seen them in quite a few locations including Illinois.

Let us know your thoughts after you visit.

They are okay, I guess. It's a chain that moves beyond a dinky, pooly lit, cramped store with range model, into a better ventilated, illuminated, and spacious store with range model. I visit a local one all the time. They have the usual failings that the non-chain places repeat too

- No crowd control at counters. If you want to flag a salesperson, you have to mill about and desperately try to make eye contact. Why is it that a mega chain like Cabelas can do it better? Add a take-a-number dispenser at least.

- Members get a priority, which is a model I guess. But that means non-members can get stuck in line for 25 minutes.

- Their POS solution is, well... the other meaning of POS. And they change it all the time. Result is, they often send you back to the iPad, but you can never guess if it's going to be that today.

Many thanks for all the input. Monday came and went and I was preoccupied with things needing attention. Maybe tomorrow I'll get there. :)

Finally caught a break. Went to my local Range USA in Valley View, Ohio. Really nice range and people working it. Only about 10 ~ 15 min from my driveway. Overall a real good experience. :)

I have been there as well as the one in Mentor. I found the Valley View one to have better customer service. They are a little higher on ammo than Fin. They do send out a ton of emails for sales.

A Ton? I think that is a little on the light side. :)

My only disappointment was I like shooting standard NRA 50' pistol targets and they had none so next time I'll bring my own. :) Since I am retired everyday is a weekend so the basic membership is all I need. Used guns were not to many but overall I had a good experience.

I agree on the light side. I ended up blocking their emails it got so bad.

We have one local in Wixom MI. I’ve been there a few times. Seems well run and clean, nice folks there. I am a member of a different range so I don’t have a lot of visits but only good experiences.

The Southgate MI store is the best range in the area to me. Clean, well stocked and professional. Email traffic does get heavy at times, but that is a small inconvenience for me.
The manager did me right by overriding system on training cancelation inside of 2 days due to family emergency. I spoke with manager he took care of it. That earned my business

Its kind of a drive for you but check out Lake Erie arms in Sandusky. They just opened an indoor 100yard rifle range and indoor clay target range.

Considering I drive to Kebly's Range in N. Lawrence for my outdoor range Sandusky isn't all that bad. Kebly's is an hour drive, :) Even at Kebly's max is 200 yards.

Howdy neighbor. I've been to that range a bunch of times, but more so with the previous owners, but Range USA keeps the ranges looking nice, they just charge more for the guns and ammo then Gail did.

Only in the winter though since I normally shoot outside at Miami Rifle-Pistol.
