Does anyone know where I can get parts (especially a stock) for a Gevarm .22 rifle?

My dad got it when he was a kid, but his friend cracked the stock by overturning my uncle's truck (another story for another day:D ). We found the rifle in my Grandma's closet a while ago; the broken stock is nowhere to be seen, but the piece itself looks pretty good. It's got a bit of a patina finish, but no big rust spots, and has one mag.

I can hardly find references to this gun on google, much less parts.

Thanks,

I have no idea, but I Googled it out of curiousity. That's a pretty neat gun, I would have never thought someone would make an open bolt rimfire.

This guy says he has schematics, if you got a copy you could get a custom stock made.

Yeah, it looks like a pretty neat piece. I'd love to get it working, maybe re-give it to my dad on his birthday or something.

Oh, my aching wallet.:D

Off topic a bit, but I have a Winchester 55 .22 Single Shot Automatic that has a similar bolt except the firing pin is integral with the bolt. Pulling the trigger releases the bolt which hits the cartridge and the bolt is blown back ready to reload and fire again.

Hmm. Some open bolt guns do have non-fixed firing pins, but that does look like a closed bolt to me.

Yeah, I dunno. I don't know much about actions, especially on autoloading rifles.

Maybe I'll take it out and run a few rounds through it; I can use a rag for a front end.:)

Jac,
Yours is an A-7, fires from closed bolt. Almost the same as the A-3 which fires from open bolt, and the open bolt A-6 which has cheaper sights. Same stocks I believe.

Search rimfirecentral and canadiangunnutz.

Thanks Gevarm. There is an A7 mark on the gun, now that you mention it.
