Hi everyone, i was trying to set up my old rcbs power timmer and stored it with the handle in the locked/off postion for an embarrassing 14 years and now when i unlock handle to trim a case the springs that push the motor housing to cut have lost their memory and wont push it towards case with enough force to trim a case without pushing it towards the case with my hand. Any suggestions. I did try calling rcbs and was on hold 27 min then 18 min and gave up. Looking for alternatives to fix my trimmer?

Find one of the right diameters at Ace Hardware then cut it to length.

Send RCBS a letter asking for a new spring.

The last couple of times I contacted RCBS I just emailed them and they replied back within 1-2 days saying the parts are on the way.
Also check out McMaster Carr. They have everything you can imagine. I've bought a few different springs from them over the years.

RCBS was very busy Friday. . . ask me how I know. Call back Monday, they will take care of you.

They always do.

Ever since it became an option, I contact RCBS support online. Even on-line their customer support people will take the time to fully understand the problem and I've got to figure that means when its being done over the phone it can take long enough to back up the line.

Don't call them on Monday or Friday. Don't call first thing in the morning,

Call mid week in the afternoon, but as mentioned e mails work, you just have to wait a few days.
