I restored this cast iron RCBS Rockchucker after it had been through a fire. I've looked at RCBS' website for instructions but it appears that they no longer provide manuals for this model.

Can any one tell me it's vintage?

How does one supply primers to the feed system?

Does anyone know of a spray paint that approximates RCBS color?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott;

Your Press looks like a Rock Chucker; I would say between 12 - 30 yrs old but hard to say. That model didn't change over the years to my knowledge except the paint went from a light flat green to a darker gloss hammered green. Just call RCBS and ask them for a instruction manual for the Rock Chucker, but not the Supreme and they should send it to you at no charge. You might also ask them how much to refinish it for you.

You need primer tubes (large & small) in order to use that system.

I have a 16 year old RCBS RC which has the same primer system. Load the primers into the primer tray, gently shake the tray back and forth until all the primers are flipped over to the same side.

Put the cover on the primer tray, flip it over and using the primer tubes you pick up the primers. Insert the tube into part attached to the press and take out the pin holding the primers back.

Pull the arm back (after making sure you have the right sized primer cup (large or small) and pick up a primer as it slides down the tube. Raise the ram, push the primer arm into the slot in the ram, lower the ram and seat the primer.

On top of the press, where the die screws in, there is a two digit number...if "77" your press was made in 1977.

Might have to take the insert out of your RC to look at the date.
