I sort of enjoyed shooting the Model 10 (see above thread). I dont want to load 38 so I am looking for the cheapest factory ammo out there. Any leads?

I shoot a lot of S&B ammo, and have been happy with the quality and the price. The FMJ rounds for practice are very reasonable and you can usually find cartridges to match the bullet weight of your carry ammo of choice, if that is a concern.

This site: www.outdoormarksman.com usually has some good deals.

Also try www.cheaperthandirt.com and www.natchezss.com

www.proload.com has some decent prices on practice ammo, and also sells their own brand of high quality ammo for serious use.

I'd have to agree with Z_Infidel. I really like the Miwall reloads at Outdoormarksman and the S&B at Natchez is a pretty good deal also.

I tend to avoid CCI Blazer in .38 special though. Although I like the ammo in my semi-autos, the slick aluminum cases have jammed up one of my wheelguns.

Here's accurate and reliable relaoded ammo from Zero starting at 125$/1000, shipped to your door.

PS--was reminded by another guy at the range this evening that Zero will give you a SIGNIFICANT price break if you send in equivalent brass. You've gotta call for these prices, but it's considerably better than I've seen other places give for brass exchange.
