I placed an order for a Glock 19 Blue Label (GSSF Purchase Program) and the dealer wouldn't even quote a lead time. I know the announcement that the Navy Seals are switching to the G19 is probably throwing a monkey wrench in things, as well as other delays.

Does anyone know how bad the shortage actually is? Is 1 month realistic? 2? Will I see the gun before summer?

I'm starting to see G19 Gen4's pop up for sale again at places like Palmetto State, albeit not Blue Label guns... does that bode well for my special order?

My local has 5 in stock, although not in the display case. I'm assuming he's pulled them for people deserving of them. But he has gen 4s out the yazoo. Last count, he had 30 43s. That's dedication.

No shortage here either. Two LGS within 10 miles of each other have most every Glock being made on display and available.

Smokey Mountain knife works and buds gun shop (not connected to the site) in Sevierville, Tenneseee have them in stock. Might want to call and ask if they'd ship one.

I had the same problem. I was told this happens every year at this time and glock will fulfill orders for their stocking dealers first as most places try to dump end of year inventory before January, and shot show can also play a part. Dont know how true it is.I went to several places locally for a new or used 19 and there was 1 pawnshop who had it listed at $530 and one academy at $500. Posted an add on armslist 3 weeks ago for one and not even a nibble.

On the other hand, the LGS I most frequent wasn't expecting any glocks in for 2 months, couldn't quote a lead time, but received a 17 2 days later out of the blue.

Should also add there are a few places that always have glocks in stock but they want $600.

The 9mm blue label guns are in short supply. No 19s, 26s, or 43s available at my source, but they have some 17s at the moment.

Civi 19s are a little harder to come by as well.

Hmm. Tempting to see if they can switch it to a 17 but then my mags aren't NJ compliant (I shoot there about 1/3 of the time).

If it should come down to it I may switch if I don't see the gun in a couple months.

My LGS said something similar; Navy Seal marketing is sexier than talking about tax return season and market fluctuations.

I only own one Glock a model 34. What is a blue label Glock. This is the
first that I have heard of this model.

Why not pick up a few 10 round G-17 mags for when you do go to NJ?
As it is, I already need to buy 5 more full cap magazines. I'll be competing in GSSF competitions, sharing the firearm with my girlfriend who will compete with me. I'm trying to avoid, having to buy a total of 13 more magazines (5x17 round and 8x10 round for NJ).

Either way, I think I'll be waiting for the G19. :)

Thanks all!

While I'm not a Glock guy, I think the G34/G35 are a couple of guns in the Blue Label program that have different triggers than their non-Blue Label brethren.

Whatever the trigger weight equivalents are, I believe the standard G34/G35 have lighter weight "competition" type triggers, while the Blue Label G34/G35 guns have heavier "duty" type triggers.

Maybe it has more to do with your shop's standing as a dealer than actual supply. From what I understand, smaller shops have to take second dibs on what comes down the distribution pipeline, while bigger retailers get first choice.

Shortage of Glocks? Not here in Texas.

Every pawnshop I go to has at least six of 'em.

We are awash with them.
