Since I run +P loads through my Ruger P90, it was mentioned to me that it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy a stiffer recoil spring. With that in mind, I purchased a 14-lb. Wolff recoil spring. Its my first time doing so, and there were no instructions, so I have a couple questions before going ahead with installation.
One end is smaller than the other on my stock recoil spring. The smaller end goes on the guide rod and "grips" the guide rod at the base where there's a small indentation. However, the Wolff spring doesn't seem to be made like this. Both ends appear to be the same size and the spring moves freely when placed on the guide rod. Is this a problem?
My other question has to do with replacing the firing pin spring that they include with the recoil spring. I tried Googling this, but didn't find anything... how do I install it? I know where it's located, just don't know how to get in to take it out.
Thanks!
