I am looking to get a decent holster for my CZ75BD Police. Been looking around a little bit and so far I am disappointed with what I have come across. I can find very nice expensive ones, and low end ones with bad reviews about fitment. Not much in between.

I dont need a fancy high dollar holster. I want something mostly for just walking around the shooting range. OWB. I might prefer kydex, but the type of material is not terribly important to me. I may use it occasionally for carry in winter months, but I am not set on that just yet.

What are some of you guys using? Any suggestions?

If about $70 fits your expectation, look at the Galco 'CombatMaster' model for the CZ75.
Leather, OWB, thin enough for dress wear with a good belt, sturdy enough for occasional range use, good formed fit.

For about $140, High Noon Holsters are Very Good!

I have a bunch of Winthrop Holsters for my guns. Made of leather and can be had in IWB or OWB. They sell for around the $50 area and are a fantastic deal for the money. The fit and finnish of the leather is great.

I carry my S&W J frame in one everyday and also have them for my 1911, 92FS, Sig RCS and Walther PPK/S. Will also be buying one for my CZ75B. He is based out of Lakewood Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland so I just run over there and pick the stuff up locally.

HBE was the go to holster for CZs for a little while.

I have a Com 2 for my Hi Power and it is an exceptional holster.

For a kydex range holster, it is hard to go wrong with any of the following...

Comp-Tac http://www.comp-tac.com

Garrett Industries (leather lined and very cool) http://www.giholsters.com

The M-12 holster works well with the CZ 75's. I bought a few years ago at $10 each. I'm sure they are a bit higher in price now.

I'll second the HBE recommendation

I've had (sold some along with the guns) 7 of his rigs.
1 belt
2 mag carriers
I've actually bought 3 of his holsters, THEN BOUGHT THE GUNS!!! They popped up on the for sale page, so I used it as an excuse to buy the gun!
Plus, he's a great guy. He had some problems years ago, but I've personally NEVER had a single problem with him.
Well, maybe seeing his for sale page is a problem on my wallet!
He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to make me some leather fora Rami soon....

I carry a CZ P-01 (Compact). Not exactly a popular model compared to the plenthora of Glock options, for example.

That said, a number of the hybrid kydex/leather IWB companies offer options; I've got a Crossbreed that works great. When I want to go OWB, that's when I've run into trouble.

Fortunately, I found a Galco leather holster that was designed for a Sig P229 (that's the smaller "compact" one, right? Or is that the P226?) and it fits the CZ P-01 just fine.

The moral of the story is look at comparative Sig holsters - they might get you close enough to work.

The Fobus holster is along the lines of what I am looking for. But it gets all sorts of bad reviews about fitment. Anyone here have firsthand experiance with it?

High Noon makes the most incredible rigs, but they are pricey. You DO get what you pay for.;)
For just a simple slip on rig, the Bianchi M-100 is a generic IWB that fits many models of CZ quite well - look for the one that lists the comparable size Glock. For the CZ75B, find the one for a Glock 17, should be just fine.

In case someone searches this topic in the future, another for consideration is the Bianchi #19L. It's designed for the Beretta 92SB/F but fits the CZ75/85 very well. Here are a couple of photos of my wife's 85 Combat in the 19L.

Clament Custom Leather, Las Vegas, NV

It was in the neighborhood of $50. I've been pleased so far. Found one of his holsters on Ebay but I wanted a body shield on mine, so I called him up. He got it made in a few days and sent it off.

I have been told that most of these should fit a Tanfoglio TA-90 (being a CZ75 clone). Any experience with this? I know those Fobus' can be finicky...

Yes, they are an excellent fit for the CZ 75, and can still be found on eBay in new or near new condition for less than 20 bucks.

I just took delivery of a Wild Bill's Concealment "Fusion" paddle holster for my CZ75 Compact PCR. Excellent holsters. I have many of them and have used their holsters for many years. Good quality leather, well made. I've always preferred the "mahogany" color, but since the CZ is basically all black, I went with a black one this time. Very nice. These holsters are very well fit and they're tight to begin with. I generally put the pistol in a heavy plastic freezer bag, then work it in and out of the holster when I'm sitting watching TV or something. In a couple of evenings you have a perfectly fitted holster. Reasonable price for nice leather, too. I think mine was $59.95.
