As someone who has a constant HISS in my ears (Mine was from Jimi Hendrix at volume 9 with headphones a LONG time ago), get the best - period. Ears and eyes are NOT where you want to scrimp a dollar. Walker Game Ears, Peltor Tactical 6S as well as their Tactical Pro are some of the best. Remember to use plugs with high pressure rounds in addition to the muffs - especially indoors or under a cover where the sound is amplified
