Need recommendations on the title. Think, 0.19 cubic feet. Just enough for a snub .38 and few other valuables. I do not want, need, or desire an electronic keypad on it, simply a keyed entry. Any recommendations are welcome.
Harbor Freight. It will have an electronic keypad AND a keyed “lock “.
The electronic keypad is much faster. Ignore it and use the key, should you prefer that mode of access. I have used them in the past and found them to be reliable, and sturdy.
I use the "snap safe" styled ones with the cable. Mine's the key entry, SWMBO has the combination entry type. Both work nominally and fit under the seat. These won't stop a very determined, prepared BG who has plenty of time, but will slow them down.
I have a V-line safe that I keep next to the bedside. It is non-electronic and made in the US. It is NOT a “real” safe, but would keep out children and can be bolted via cable and locked to something non-movable. Cost is around $180 bucks.

Edit...
That link didn't work very well. It's called Bulldog Vaults.
Small, cheap, simple.
Comes with a cable to attach to about anything. I use it on the seat bracket of my jeep, but it would work in a hotel room., boat. .....anywhere?
