Funny how before the show the forums were full of praise for Red Jacket. They were definitely up there with Tromix and Krebs. But now that people have watched a TV producer created soap opera, Red Jacket is crap.

I had work done by Red Jacket way before the show. And I can attest that their work is NOT crap.

now ive never owned/ seen any of their work....so i cant say for certain the quality of their work.

but after seeing the show, i am not impressed in the least, and i would never do business with them........

now im going to hope the quality of their production work is better than the stuff they hack together for the show.......

i would really like to see some pictures of the work people here have had done for them.

You would have never heard me say anything different. I had 2 buddies who had work done there, both were done poorly and had to be sent back and were eventually sold cause it was such **** work. I do believe you that you had work done and it was great, that's why they are crap. No consistency.

I don't understand how any of their work could be considered good, and I also do not understand how the show did not totally destroy the business. I suppose there are enough fans now that don't know a thing about guns that saw the show that have to own a RJ product now.

I began getting very annoyed when Will would claim that they are doing something for the first time ever and take credit for it.

The biggest example for me was the flashlight gun that they made. Magpul already made a concept of this, and in fact, the airsoft toy that they got the idea from was actually a replica of the magpul FMG-9.

That was the show that also confirmed my feelings about RJ being crap. I can't believe that they hacked that gun together with terrible fit and finish, and then sold it for $1200 bucks. It was made out of a hacked up ammo can. Look at the few closeups in the episode. The thing looks like total crap. If I was the customer, I would have refused to buy that. Again, the show makes me really wonder how they stay in business.

Will treating potential walk in customers like crap is a terrible turn off too.

I really only watch the show to see how bad they are going to hack the next gun up and how much money they will get for it. Maybe I should get into the gun building business.

Sorry to revive this thread but I just watched the Flame Thrower cannon and the marketing breakthrough of the miniskirt derringer holster.

I was cracking up through it. Give me a break.

One question - they had the CEO of American Derringer on but is that firm really in business?

I once met her at a gun show - nice person. But I don't see new guns from them at shows or stores. Also, I read that they were sued out of business based on a ND by some cop.

Their page hasn't changed in years.

Yeah, the flame cannon was a bit ridiculous. I still watch the show, can't say the same for American Guns, that was just horrible.

I wondered why the CEO of a company would be willing to help out another potential rival company. It doesn't make sense from a good business perspective.

So he gave 10% to dude and then made a "new" llc and dude wants his %10 of net worth of the business/show?

Sounds legit.

I own several companies. I have multiple shareholders across these various companies. I know how to play the game. It is not the way Will is playing.
Basically what he did is got his butt in a sling. Had this guy work for shares in the company as he had no money. Sweat equity. Then he did this deal for TV and started making boatloads of money. Will goes and creates another entity and moves the assets to it. Leaving the shareholders totally in the dark.
Screwing all his shareholders and keeping the money for himself.
This is what we call a scum sucking lowlife pig.
He will lose his shirt over this.

sounds like he's in deep!!! I got to see what happens next.

So Vince owns the place and Chubby and Will are "Employees"

Interesting.... Will sure yells at Vince an awful lot when he should be knowing his role.

I imagine that's scripted drama invented for TV more than it is the reality of how things are handled around the shop...

You people really think that they write the script or film what really happens in that shop?

And the only thing worse than the script is the acting...and the girl ain't that good looking.

Easy. Non Gun folks watch it. People who really believe all gun people are blowing up boats and have a closet full of fully auto weapons. They also believe we all are short tempered and must have our way or the highway. They think we are covered in tattoos and speak as if we just left the dentist office.
Sons of Guns is the top anti gun advertisement and I believe that is exactly what the director/producers wish for. Will is just to stupid to realize they are using him. Or the money makes it OK. Obviously he was broke as a skunk (documented) and will do anything or say anything they tell him to.

Thanks for the information on the pending law suit. Maybe they'll make another "reality show" and call it "The Trials of Will".....coming soon on the Discovery Channel....:)

The "plaintiff" on that suit said Joseph Radford ,not Vince didn't it? Is that the Joe in the show? Sounds like a last season to me.

Right, every gun owner owns a gunshop and builds full autos in the gunshop they own and builds them for Law Enforcement and the Military. You would have to be pretty stupid to think that all gun owners are like that. Don't be paranoid to this extreme. People are getting into shooting because of these shows, it's helping our community grow.
