I received a Redding powder measure from a fellow member a while back, and I am not 100% sure on the model number. The screw is not the correct one for it and it will only throw ~5gr of HS 6 even with the screw out of it. Is it something wrong with the chamber where I can just clean it out or will simply replacing the screw with the proper one allow for greater adjustment? Or do I just call Redding?

The Redding 3BR powder measure has two separate metering chambers available for it. The one for pistol is rated to throw 1 to 10 grains. The other, Redding calls it a Universal chamber, throws 5 to 100 grains.

See the specifications here.

There is probably nothing wrong with your measure, you just need the pistol metering chamber.

I have a Redding 10-X which is the pistol only powder measure and the metering stem has a hemispherical hollow machined in the top of the stem so that you can never get a "zero" powder charge. I have not seen the stems on the other Redding powder measures but I'd guess they have the same feature in the stem.
