Ruger marketing has pulled some bonehead moves, but neglecting to offer the Redhawk in 45 Colt was not among them.

They also offered the Redhawk in .357 Magnum, but it is now discontinued and highly sought after on the used market.

Gee thanks a lot Lost Sheep.
Now i NEEEED one !!!!!!!!! I spose i'll quit searchin for a deal on a .44 Redhawk and focus on a .45 LC one.

Thank you for this info. Like i said, it's been about 10 years er so since i sold my Redhawk and i'm jist in the past couple o' years gittin back into this.
I lost my health back in '89 and had to give up shootin, reloadin, my gun hobby, my gun business and my gunsmithin business.
I lost a lot over the past few years and seems i have a lot to relearn.
'preciate the article on the .45 Redhawk.

I think it would have to have moon clip cuts made. Yes mine is indeed a 45 Colt 5.5 barrel - a nice gun for hunting or backup gun for hunting.

Hope it shoots straight for you. Mine wouldn't zero and shot right so it's at Ruger now. Some have canted barrels too.
