I have a S&W M908 that is finish "challenged". It's two tone....the frame is silver anodized and that is fine. It's the blued slide and slide part ( safety and stop ) that are quite worn with some minor surface rust at the top of the slide. These S&W "budget" models aren't really blued.......more "blackened". What inexpensive options would you suggest for refinishing ? I picked the gun up cheap because of the finish issue.....and while I know you get what you pay for, I'd just as soon not sink a fortune into the project. As long as it doesn't turn out looking like a first graders art project...I'm open to suggestions.

Mechanically, the pistol is flawless.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Perhaps I've found a solution to my question.....I've discovered I can send the slide, safety and slide-stop levers off to Mac's to be Tuff-Gun coated
for a very reasonable fee.......seems this might be the way to go ??.....comments ??

Well, there are many refinishing options. The cheapest, decent one I would do is duracoat.

Google "CCR Refinishing" - Tons of people on the Sig Forum and Beretta Forum use him, and all are happy. He does have a turn around of 6-8 weeks, though...
