I have learned to love Ginex far more than any of the American primer manufacturers.
Primers at my local Sportsman’s Warehouse are currently on the shelf for $59.99 for 1000 CCI 500 small pistol primers. In the past 4 months, I have purchased over 5000 Fiocchi small pistol primers for $8.29 for a sleeve of 150, which equals $5.50 per 100. Sorry if you don’t have a Sportsman’s Warehouse in your neighborhood, it has been my go to for primers for the past 3 years. Scheels in Montana also has had decent amounts of primers at decent prices in the past two years as well. The CCI primers I use are pretty much 10 cents apiece after everything. I do not think that we will ever see any primers under 8 cents again. Especially now that there is now a new war starting in Israel. The one-hundred-dollar increase for 8 pounds of powder really sticks me.
They really are a good resource for primers...holding the line on prices that I believe are the new "norm". There is one 15 mins from my house, across from my doctor's office, so there isn't much excuse for not stopping by to check.Sorry if you don’t have a Sportsman’s Warehouse in your neighborhood, it has been my go to for primers for the past 3 years
118 miles for me (Lady Lake) and they have only had small pistol primers when they have had any. Oh well. Them’s the breaks. My "local" Sportsmans is in Morgantown, WV, about a three hour drive there depending on traffic, so not worth the trip for me. However, when I take my GF up there in January for her next doctor appointment, the Sportsmans will only be a half mile off our path, so I will certainly be stopping in.
Last time I was there (this summer) they still had a single brick limit. When did they lift that?

I remember when they started getting supplies that they limited purchases to two sleeve (200). Then they raised the limit to 1k and recently dropped any limit at all. Up until then, it was just easier to order 10k delivered for $5 more per thousand

Gas $3.44 a gallon? You lucky dog, I wish gas here was that cheap!!Intense...yes. But I spent a great deal of time and effort sourcing components and now I can order them online with little or no fuss. I'm not going to spend my time running to three stores on Sunday to find 1 sleeve of primers...I'm going to order the brick online (especially since gas it 3.44/gal...I can justify the Hazmat). I am cherry picking now....05 cents per primer is not far away.
American Reloading. When I checked the other day, they were down to $310/5k ($62/k) and the last time I ordered, there was an additional discount at 10k...(I want to say $10, but don't quote me)...that price included shipping and HazMatWhere are you find them at $65.00/k where you can order 10k at a time?
Went back after pay day and did it again and got more this time. Still didn't even put a dent in what they had and there's more there compared to last week, they got in a bunch of Remingtons. Looks like me and my friend were the only ones that bought anything since last week.Got my fill of No41 primers at Lubbock Cabela's after that nearly 3 year primer dry spell, me and my buddy didn't even put a dent in what they had for No41s.
I've been buying the 400 allowed every chance I get at sportsman's. I got the last SPMs they had today. They still have spp so I'll shift to those till they are gone. I don't have a monster pile, but I'm better off than I would have been.I started stocking up Pre-Clinton, best to buy when the market is down, but can’t always be helped.
We don’t need to panic and make it worse.
I didn't realize some Sportsman's Warehouses (SW) were still enforcing limits.I've been buying the 400 allowed every chance I get at sportsman's. I got the last SPMs they had today. They still have spp so I'll shift to those till they are gone.
They had LRP at my local SW yesterday. I didn't ask how many or the cost as I don't use them...I was looking for LPP for a buddyWhen large rifle and large rifle magnum become commonly available again, they hen we will know times are too good to be true.
Has anyone seen 2400 available?
https://www.powdervalley.com/product/alliant-2400/?attribute_pa_options=alliant-2400-8Has anyone seen 2400 available? I have enough magnum revolver powder for my needs, but nothing that has quite the same fireball as 2400. I haven't seen any for sale in years. I was guessing that Alliant found it more convenient/profitable to make only MP-300 for some reason. Or does 2400 come from a factory that shut down, burned down, whatever?
