This is my Rem 700 ADL Light Varmint .223, with a new Bushnell 3-12X x 44mm Nitro scope I just received/mounted/sighted-in yesterday. It was on-sale from Midway and supposedly the last one available, but they magically may have found more after my order. The price was $220 (free shipping), marked down from over twice that amount. I've since found it a little cheaper elsewhere on the "net", but service from Midway was great...it was shipped the same day.
Anyway, I like the scope and mounted/sighted it in yesterday and am impressed at the clarity and love the "Deploy Mil FFP" reticle. The center dot fit nicely inside the 1" center circle of my home-made target at 100 yards. The image is very clear and adjustments are great.
This is my first Mil-dot scope and I have some learning to do with it, but don't expect to utilize it's full potential. We'll see. Note that I didn't notice that it wasn't a 1" tube, so the super-nice mounts didn't fit and I had to steal some off another scope in my "spare parts bin". (I don't think the rifle will be ticked-off about it.)
The scope that was on the rifle is now on my .17 HMR Tikka and a great upgrade from the old Bushnell that I resurrected, after the rifle it was on got knocked to the floor by my son's dog. It was passable, but the 3-9X Leupold is so much better! Two upgrades for the price of one!!!
(Please excuse the powdered rosin near the front mount. I didn't notice that I hadn't wiped it all off after mounting.)
