Friend of mine with a C&R license just got a heck of a buy on a mint 1947-vintage 12 gauge Remington Model 11 skeet gun with a factory installed Cutts Compensator. The Cutts has all five tubes, ranging from spreader to extra full. I was wondering about the wisdom of shooting steel shot duck loads through it, assuming he used the smaller shot sizes and the more open chokes.

My Father shot steel for years through his 1947 A5 with a Cutts, but never used anything tighter than Mod...

I believe it is the .725 marked tube...

I am not suggesting you or anyone do the same, just relaying what my Father did...
