Has anybody ever explored the Remington Hi-Way Master .38 Special loading?

It featured a 110 gr pointed zinc-alloy projectile designed for "metal piercing" anti-automobile applications, hence the name. Definitely a different approach that the Winchester/Western product line. I believe it was discontinued in the mid-1960's.

Any knowledge on factory velocity specs?

Any adventurous souls tried to re-create the projectile and it's performance?

I've played a bit with old "Prot-X-Bore" zinc bullets, which sucked out loud. I'm unfamiliar with the Remington offering, and plan on remaining so: I've had all the zinc in my bore (and in my lead pot) that I plan to!

Ditto. Anyone who has tried out the war surplus Kynoch zinc-plated .380 Mk.II ammo knows better than to try a zinc-plated .38Spl.
