The nickle revolver is a Cartridge Conversion by Remington that was originally Rimfire but has a very nicely done Centerfire "frontier" conversion done at some later date. It fires 32 Colt ammunition.

The Brass frame was a CVA (Armi San Marco) that Jay Strite and I lined to 22 calibre and I installed a Kirst Konvertor that is chambered to 22 Long Rifle.

Kirst/Strite has a very limited number of these 22 Calibre cylinders..........

This is a custom job.

I could sell you the cylinder but if that is an ASM manfactured Pocket it will take some pretty serious work to get it to index and lock up properly.

The barrel also has to be lined.

If you are up to this let me know!

Once the barrel is lined then it can't be used as a percussion revolver anyway.
So why not just go with something similar to the Remington Pocket from the beginning and avoid all of the aggravation?

I dunno......why not a paintball gun?

Cause........I build conversions, I love conversions, I collect conversions, I eat, sleep, dream conversions and that ain't a conversion:barf:

Pancho and others like their NAA Earl and being a look-alike it fills a niche. :)

Plus the added potency of the 22 magnum provides an extra power & fun factor, along with being able to switch back and forth with the .22lr ammo.
What's the estimated cost for the entire Kirst .22lr conversion including the sleeve and all of the gunsmithing?

I'm pretty fond of conversions, myself....but I should hold off. I've gone through my mad money buying a lot of BP stuff lately. How much are those cylinders, anyways? I do have a 'smith buddy that could line the barrel for not too much dinero.

thank you sir! I have two of the NAA Super Companions, so it's not like I NEED another .22, but that little pocket Remmie rates pretty high in ''cool factor''...

the earl

I called and asked Naa if they could make a percussion earl, custom for me and they said no!:( then I asked if they could install a 5 in barrel on a super companion, they said no! I guess ill never get any accuracy out of this companion, better get me a pocket remmie!

Thanks for the info.
I didn't know that NAA came out with The Earl cap & ball version.
The NAA website only lists that there are conversion cylinders for $50 plus $25 to ship the gun for it to be timed. But nothing specific yet about the C&B cylinder availability.
It must be a fairly new version. :)

You are aware that it's not possible to put a C&B cylinder into a rimfire NAA revolver (or vice-versa - different firing pin set-up), right? I believe the "conversion" cylinder discussed on that page is .22 LR to .22 Mag or the other direction. I'm pretty sure an ordinary Super Companion spare cylinder would work in the Earl C&B if desired:

#2400_CB - Super Cap & Ball (22 Magnum) Cylinder at $40.00 each

Ok..........I give

What was I thinking :-(
I should have known better than to post about anything else but NAA

Ya'll go on out and buy one or three!!!

A few apparently. Described as "a very rare Remington New Model Pocket revolver that has been converted to .22 caliber rimfire-obviously not a factory conversion...."

"a 1/10-inch-thick plate has been attached to the face of the recoil shield....the rear of the percussion cylinder was cut away, leaving a straight round bored-through cylinder. Fitted to its rear is a cylinder-index plate shaped somewhat like a sprocket and indexed by a single pin."
