Remington has joined the spring rebate brigade. They are offering a $50 rebate on the RM380, R51 and RP9 and a $100 rebate on their 1911. I have had an RM380 since they first came out and couldn't be happier with it. I like it so much that I just ordered another one. I don't know anything about their other offerings and frankly have no interest in them.

Does this include the R1 Enhanced model I wonder? That would put the cost right around $600. Count me in.

MN Fats - It covers ALL their 1911 pistols.
Check the Remington website to see all the guns covered by these rebates.

I ordered this standard R1 1911 from Grabagun Monday at their price of $499 (before $100 rebate) plus $7.99 shipping. Texans will have to pay state sales tax. Picked it up today at the FFL in Austin. The gun has very good fit & finish for a "low end" 1911 and is very smooth & tight - no rattling. A GREAT deal for a decent American made 1911, IMO - hard to beat $399.:

I might need to pick up another R51. My first was very early 2d generation and did not reflect Huntsville, Alabama, (my hometown) as its city of manufacture. I have wanted to pick up another that does. This might be the time to do it.
