Update: Taylor’s and Company finally shipped the new main spring for this carbine. Identical in appearance to the old one but the difference in strength was apparent even before installation was complete. Test firing only confirmed that the old spring was just too weak.
Doesn’t speak well for Uberti that quality control lets springs not up to specs get installed in the first place then can’t keep A major North American Distributor like Taylor’s supplied in parts. This part was ordered July 17.
