I recently won a Glock 30S at a GSSF match. It has a captive recoil spring assembly.

I was wondering if anyone was aware of the availability of aftermarket springs, of different weights, to allow me to work up different loads for it

Standard size gun spring for 1911 is 16lb factory for G30S is 17. Why did you choose 15lb? I want to learn something.

I just reread my OP and realized that I left out the objective of my project.

I'm looking to load 230gr bullets to come out of the G30 barrel at about 570fps.

I actually found recoil assemblies that went down to 12lbs (not at Wolff), but that seemed excessive

let us know how that 15 pounder works out. i have the spring kit for my g30 and use the 21 lb. spring for my 45 superish loads. but, i would like to load up some powder puff loads as well.

Here's a thread asking for load suggestions
thanks, i checked it out already. i was going to suggest bullseye for your reduced load, but i've never cooked up a reduced load in 45acp, yet. i currently shoot a full power ball load in my g30 and am anxiously awaiting your "powder puff" results.

I just received the new catalog from www.glockstore.com. Among other things, they have a large selection of recoil assembly related offerings that may interest you.
Thank you.

While Lenny does offer a wide variety of springs for many Glock models, the only reduced weight offered for the 30S is 15lbs...which I already ordered from Wolff
