I had this posted in "long gun sights and acc" forum for awhile with no reply so I thought I would try here.
I've got a 12g slug barrel with standard open rifle style sighs. I would like to replace the dovetailed white dot front and ramped adjustable white triangle rear. Anybody know of fiber optic light pipes or other hi viz replacements that would use the same soldered bases? I've taken a lot of Illinois whitetails over the years with the old 870 express magnum and 1oz slugs. Its a smooth bore with rifled choke tube. This year the sights were harder for me to see because we had 11 inches of snow first season. Last year I had a 10 pointer in front of me at 35 yards but was too dark or dim to see both deer and sights from inside ground blind so I didn't shoot.
Thanks

Yes, Remington rifle sights are dove tailed into a base. There are plenty of after market sights for the Remington Rifle sight barrels so simply shot around.

XS Express sights might work for you - https://www.xssights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8270

Shallow V notch rear and Big Dot front ... tritium in both. I have them and like them. The lamp in the rear sight is vertical, at the notch, and the front dot makes a 'pumpkin on a fence post' sight picture. See pictures at the link above.

And they're quick to get on target with too - adapted from African express rifles.
