Weather cleared up for the start of the new year so Briar Rabbit in Zanesville Oh decided to put on a New Years shoot. About 30 shooters braved the post party hangover and shot the approx. 170 round course. Lunch as always was tasty, hot and plentiful.
Stage 1 24 rounds from behind the barrel. No tricks here just don't miss.
Stage2 24 rounds again, this time 8 shots from behind the 3 barrels. Movement could be right to left or L-R shooter choice. Plenty of time to reload between barrels as long as you didn't miss.
Stage3
A team shoot, 34 targets between 2 shooters. Sucks about your bad luck if you got stuck with a revolver guy here.
Stage4 25 rounds from behind the barrel. They didn't want to make the first shoot of the year to hard.
Stage5 25 rounds fired from 3 barrels, movement right to left. Watchout for the plates in the shadows they can be overlooked kinda easy.
Stage6 24 rounds with movement R-L or L-R. The targets in the center take 2 the "body" then one to the small falling red "head" plate. On the right bank of targets you had to shoot the heart down by shooting thru the hole in the front plate. If you missed or hit the white round plate first it was +5 to your time. :banghead:
Stage7 20 rounds from behind the counter. We shot only the pins and the red plate below them. Easy finish to the day if you didn't rush.
Keep an eye on the web site for shoots as weather allows. Regular shoots start again in March.
