Pro-2nd Amendment article on Yahoo! News:

"The Favorite Guns of the Republicans Running for President"

http://news.yahoo.com/favorite-guns-republicans-running-president-152609570.html

The article begins:
Every Republican running for president brags of being pro-2nd Amendment while out on the campaign trail. But how many candidates actually practice what they preach?

It then goes on to briefly comment on what each candidate may (or may not) own and shoot. Only Rep. Rick Santorum answered with how many he has (his favorite: Kimber 1911). Others said they own or shoot guns, but for security reasons wouldn't identify what or how many.

The article does not support one candidate over another. It's intent is to highlight whether the candidate lives out what he/she says about the 2nd Amendment.

For "security reasons", I can't tell you that I lie out of my a-hole :neener:

A year or two ago, during a regional political debate, they asked the candidates how much a gallon of milk cost. Only one guy had any clue or was even close.

That guy new to the penny, as he owned a convenience store chain. ;)

I think Ron Paul's answer mirrors what a lot of people on here would say if similarly asked. Still would like to know though.

No doubt most people would answer the same way but it would be cool to know what he has. At least name off one or two;)

Of course Newt Gingrich didn't respond he's a progressive. It would be like asking Obama what guns he has.

To be fair, I have no idea how much a gallon of milk goes for these days. I'm certainly not a member of the political elite (or any elite), I just don't do the grocery shopping in my household.

Yep...that's right up there with the "tragic boating accident" line.

I'm not sure that owning a firearm can be reliably equated to supporting the 2A or not.

How many Anti politicians own firearms and even have permits that think you or I shouldn't? Pelosi's pistol and permit? Kerry, "Crawling around on my belly with my 12 ga double bbl". We all have a problem with that hypocrisy.

How many RKBA advocates believe that you or I should be left alone to have whatever we want, but personally don't want to own one? Any problem with that?

You can't draw any conclusion from whether someone supports RKBA or would deny your right based on whether they do or do not own firearms.

Right, because coyotes regularly attack and eat full grown men.

Regularly? No. Has it happened often and will it happen again? Most certainly will!! A hungry yote has little fear of pretty much anything.

As to the post... Ditto what hso said.

Gingrich's unwillingness to even respond is quite telling as to his commitment to the 2nd amendment.
