I just bought a revelation model 300 20 guage pump action. it seems to be in great shape goin to test it out ina couple days can anyone point me in the direction of what company made this gun and a estimate of its actual worth. the stamp on the barrel says it can chamber 2 & 3/4 and 3 inch shells. first shotgun so how do you check the choke to see if it is able to fire slugs or not. Any help i can get on this would be very much appreciated.

The Revelation 300 was made by Savage Arms (Model 30). I don't have any idea as to it's value but condition will dictate how much it is worth.

With Google being your friend, you would find that the shotgun is a Savage/Stevens model 30.
I don't know it's value, but it should shoot standard rifled slugs for smoothbores without issue.

Choke should be marked somewhere. Probably near the gauge marking. Full, Modified, Improved, IC, Cylinder, etc.

Most "rifled" slugs (which is what you want to shoot in this gun -- not saboted) are designed to be safe to fire even through a full-choked gun, though most people prefer to use Cyl. bore for a dedicated slug gun.
