I'm not a big fan of two-piece handguns, so I stick with revolvers.

It would depend on what it's intended purpose is!!! And it would depend on the level of training/expertise the individual had I was buying it for. They both have their place in the real world. That said, if I were limited to just one hand gun it would be a S&W Model 66 4 inch.If you were going to buy a new handgun would you buy a revolver or semiautomatic? And why would you choose that particular handgun?
Haven't read any other post but depends, doesn't it, as to why you want it? Some have crossover, like my G26, I EDC but also shoot it a lot.If you were going to buy a new handgun would you buy a revolver or semiautomatic? And why would you choose that particular handgun?
Revolver! Because the gun I want right now is a revolver.
It is a 10 shot .22LR revolver. It looks like it would be a lot of fun. I have another .22LR revolver by the same maker and enjoy it a lot. No ammo pickiness like you see with some .22LR autopistols and it's great trigger practice if you shoot it DA.

Great minds think alike. The .40 revolver would be a convertible for me is the only thing I would add/change.If I suddenly had extra cash...
Something I really liked, didn't already have, and could get a great deal on.
Right now a good top-break revolver, a Contender, a 10mm semiauto, and a revolver in 40 caliber are all sort of on a list.
I can say it, but I can't avoid "- even the old ones - isn't the gun that a pre-lock 686 is" coming out of my mouth immediately after the word Python. Can you say Python?
