Revolver or semiautomatic

Revolvers will always be the Rock of the industry, tried and true from every angle. Semi's will always be the next generation, until a new generation (lazer or whatever) comes along.
If it shoots bullets as we know them, there is nothing better than the original, or improved upon original. Hence the attraction every gun owner has to the basic handgun.
Yes, it's fun to pull a semi out and blast out 200 rounds of ammo, but why, I hit the same target with five or six 41,44, 45 colt or whatever, (I also only shoot a 1 CLIP:confused: "magazine" to the rest of you) I go home knowing I can still defend my life and property.
I own one semi auto handgun (45) the rest are revolvers, mostly DA, one SA, never could understand the SA attraction, other than historical cowboy representation. Which I might add is cool
I am a simple man, in this diverse society, I see nothing in a need for a auto with 10 + magizine (other than being a bad marksman) that a revolver couldn't handle with 6 shots, good marksman or not. I am all in for capitalist way of making money thru ammo sales, but blasting off 200 rounds+ ( especially during ammo shortages) is not the way too conserve guns or ammo for when we truly are in need.
Quit crying about ammo shortages(you know who you are) buy a nice revolver and learn to hit your target in 5 or 6 shots. Then go home and work on the "honey do" list.
Love you all :neener:
Paul
P.S. REVOLVERS FOREVER....

If you were going to buy a new handgun would you buy a revolver or semiautomatic? And why would you choose that particular handgun?
What are you buying this gun FOR? We can't give you a recommendation until we know that.

If it's for plinking, carrying in the woods hoping to see a squirrel or rabbit, a .22 will serve you best. If I were buying today, I'd go with a Ruger MKIV, with the heavy barrel and adjustable sights.

If it's an understudy for a defensive handgun, get the type ,22 that matches your defensive handgun.

If it's for defense, an automatic is probably best -- although many people like a snub nose revolver.

If it's for larger game, a revolver is the way to go -- chambered for more powerful cartridges and doesn't throw your brass into the leaves where you can't find it.
