have you ever seen this one?
That's a Beretta prototype revolver. Don't know the name. It was never mass produced. I actually hate seen it before but it also says Beretta on the barrel.;). Does that say Mod 1 on there?

This one I'm going to post because it does seem to be a mystery,

"Prototype Handgun, combination of semi-automatic pistol with revolver. Cal. 45 ACP, 5½" barrel, finish in the white, smooth wooden grips, gas operated rotary magazine, self-loading single- and double-action . Extremely interesting as design and construction by an unknown, but knowledgeable craftsman. The only specimen my friends and I have seen. THIS one is pictured in an old catalog WORLD"S GUNS, an advertisement by Golden State, page 192. $3,500."

No trick 'tall, it seems, Nice one, Driftwood. Post #57 is indeed a union automatic revolver.
You nailed that one in all of 15 minutes,

How about this one though?

Driftwood,
That's a Volcanic, according to Wiki, Jennings and Smith improved a design by Hunt to produce that.
I do remember seeing the only one of Hunt's prototypes still existing in the museum in Cody...where the first two pictures of this thread were taken :)

Ahh, the Gyrojet pistol,
Saw one at the last gunshow I went to, they wanted more for the ammo they had than they did for the pistol!

@460Kodiak yep, beretta 357 mag prototype that never entered production, probably the best revolver never produced as beretta was too busy with their 92's.
