Recently the wife and I decided to spend the afternoon at the range together. We opened the handgun safe to make several slections for the trip. Wow, she said, let's take some of the wheelguns and shoot them. We picked out the SW Model 15, Model 64 and the Model 60 along with the Model 617 and Model 642.

It brought back memories of 30 years ago shooting the Model 15 and 60 to qualify. We spent hours shooting and reflecting on the history of each gun. Now we still like our 9mm and .45ACP, but that was a great afternoon.

We came home, cleaned the guns and proceeded to reload 500 rounds for the wheelguns. No doubt they will make the trip again soon. For us, it was like going back the the beginning of our shooting carrer. Great memories!

"it was like going back to the beginning of our shooting career."

Every day is a new beginning, just made better when beginning again
Great story, enjoy !
(works a whole lot like that for me and milady too, started with wheelies, and still got 'em all, and each other too, 39 years for us)

PS
and we know some real good folks in Oxford, too, "married with guns" (and grand-children)
well, ok.. Oxford MS.. but close e'nuff, kindred spirits

As much as I love my autoloading mechanical wonders, I still like shooting my revolvers best.
Single action, double action, it matters not to me.

My wife and i went to the range last weekend. She hasn't shot a lot so i let her try the semi
and the GP. she shot about 2 clips of the 9mm then got hold of the GP and just kept reloading it,shot the whole box of .38s. When we went out front she kept eyeing the SP101
sayin the GP was a little heavy.Hope she makes up her mind to get one, maybe she'll let me shoot it LOl
