Sorry I've been away for a while (vacation). thanks for all the responses so
far. I Have been using the SG for the past 8 years or so (when I did have
kids in the house) and it has served me well. I also have extensive
experience with the rifle (thanks uncle sam, plus a lot of practice on my
own.) I just haven't made up my mind if I want to switch ready long guns or
not. I really prefer not to have extra guns out of the safe if not needed
(hence my option of one or the other). As I said in the begining, the pistols
are primary and the long gun is for the other uses. Thanks again for all the
