I have this idea for a project. I have a 410 nef pardner single shot that im thinking of making into a sort of "410 slug carbine." Having the barrel cut down to an 18 or 19 inch cylinder bore, and adding some sort of rifle sights.
I think it would make a good close range coyote gun using slugs. Or you can take down the barrel and have something that you could easily fit in a backpack as a camp gun.
But im not sure how to go about adding rifle sights. I know they make sights that mount onto the rib of shotgun barrels but the pardner has no rib.
Could I just buy a set of rifle sights and have a gunsmith mount them onto the barrel? Or is that more trouble than its worth and should I just keep the bead sight?
